נקודות דיקור יעילות להקלה על צרבת

An article intended for practitioners of Chinese medicine:

Lately, a lot of people have been contacting me with a request for heartburn treatment, and I'm hearing the same from other therapists as well.

I am including here useful recommendations for relieving heartburn through acupuncture.

These acupuncture points can be added to any treatment you do at the clinic, and in my experience they work great.

According to Dr. Tan, we can affect areas of the body by acupointing other areas.

According to Dr. Tan's theory, to affect complaints that run along the CV line, we need to prick points on the GV.

This is the place to mention that it is important to make sure that the heartburn is felt on the CV meridian (we should ask the patient to show us exactly where they feel the heartburn).

If the area where the patient feels the heartburn is at the level of C1-C3 (the base of swallowing), we prick the Ah-Shi points at the level of the hairline.

If heartburn is felt at the C3-C5 level - we will prick the A-Shi points from GV24 to GV22.

If the heartburn is in the chest area - we will prick from GV22 to the GV21 area.

The vertex (GV20) already symbolizes the waist area, so we don't need to go all the way there in our acupuncture.

A few things you should know:

*At least in my experience, it is better to look for depressions on the GV line and prick them. If there is a bulge on the meridian, we will feel a depression before or after the bulge and that is worth pricking.

*Acupuncture is against the direction of the meridian.

*No need to obtain qi (I always obtain qi at acupuncture points but there is no need to obtain qi at acupuncture in the head).

You can also give patients homework, to press on these points themselves. It works great.
