Irritable Bowel Syndrome – Natural Treatment or Acupuncture
Irritable bowel syndrome, or by its new name: irritable bowel syndrome, is characterized by symptoms of abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, gas, bloating, and more.
It is a non-dangerous syndrome but is very frustrating and interferes with quality of life. The syndrome can be treated according to the different symptoms of each patient.
General recommendations for alleviating the syndrome include maintaining a healthy lifestyle that includes an adapted and balanced diet (there are foods that are suitable for those with the syndrome and foods that aggravate it.
In addition, proper eating habits are especially important for those suffering from sensitive intestines), regular and organized physical activity, ensuring adequate sleep, and reducing various sources of stress.
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) can be treated through medication that affects the symptoms to a certain extent, appropriate dietary adjustments that vary from patient to patient, and additional treatment methods such as: Chinese acupuncture, herbal remedies, medical hypnosis, CBT treatments, and more.
The direct cause of irritable bowel syndrome/sensitive bowel syndrome is unknown, so combining all of the above recommendations can increase the chances of relieving symptoms and curing irritable bowel syndrome. Acupuncture is known and has even been proven in studies to be effective in relieving irritable bowel syndrome/sensitive bowel syndrome.
Acupuncture helps relieve various symptoms:
Abdominal pain, bloating, gas, diarrhea, constipation, etc.
It does this by stimulating relevant points that affect the imbalance in the digestive system.
Acupuncture also helps reduce stress and causes an overall feeling of calm and peace.
Research has shown that acupuncture causes the release of endorphins, activates areas of the brain that are anti-pain, regulates serotonin pathways that affect the syndrome, and activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which relieves stress and pain.
Acupuncture treatment lasts about an hour and is performed using sterile, thin needles.
In order for acupuncture treatment to be as efficient and effective as possible, it is important to provide the therapist with all the data related to the person's health condition, including medical history and other existing illnesses.
Chinese acupuncture is a complementary medicine treatment method that has existed for over two thousand years. One of the essential advantages of Chinese acupuncture is the fact that the treatment has no side effects. Additional advantages of Chinese acupuncture are: assistance with the activity of the hormonal system, assistance in strengthening the immune system, effectiveness in treating depression and improving mood along with effective treatment of pain.
For these reasons, Chinese acupuncture is highly recommended for the treatment of various medical problems, especially for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome.
