חליטות תה

Anyone who has traveled to China may have seen that the Chinese (at least where I lived) walk around with glass drinking bottles with plants inside.

Every time they finish the bottle, they add boiling water to the bottle, wait for it to cool a bit, and drink. In this way, they turn their drinking into a kind of ongoing therapy throughout the day.

Herbal tea infusions that help with digestion and are soothing are:

Chamomile - helps especially those who suffer from a feeling of heaviness in the stomach, very soft stools, lack of emptying, and mucus in the stool. There will often also be a thick coating on the tongue.

Fennel seeds - help those who suffer from irregular bowel movements: alternating constipation and diarrhea, those whose symptoms worsen with stress, and women whose symptoms worsen before menstruation.

The tongue will usually be redder on the sides.

Ginger - Better for nausea, upper abdominal discomfort, coughs with phlegm.

Cinnamon - for those who suffer from stomach pain, abdominal discomfort, bloating or gas, accompanied by a feeling of coldness in the stomach or in the body in general (cinnamon is considered warming and therefore not suitable for those suffering from fever).

Sage - in my opinion, it's great for calming. It's not exactly common as a medicinal herb in China for digestive problems, but it is said to calm the mind and in my personal opinion (and from what I hear from patients) it also helps relieve stomach pain.

Infusions can be drunk as teas, but in my opinion, it's best to take a teaspoon of whatever you've chosen, put it in boiling water, wait for it to cool a bit, and drink it. If you have a suitable bottle, then simply drink the infusion throughout the day.
